Director of Housekeeping Services
Fulltime 1st Shift

Aldersgate UMRC is currently hiring for an experienced Director of Housekeeping Services. This position manages the operations of the housekeeping areas including cleaning and sanitation of resident accommodations, public areas and offices; manages the laundry/linen/dry-cleaning functions for the residents and the organization. Counsels and directs employees and interacts with residents, family members, guests, and other departments. Responsible for maintaining positive relationships with all customers; preparation and compliance with budgets; training of staff; quality assurance processes; as well as appropriate local, state and federal regulations. Qualified candidates will have eight to ten years housekeeping experience to include one to three years of management experience; Associate degree in business preferred but not required; Bilingual a plus!


Requirements

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Associate degree in business preferred. Eight to ten years housekeeping experience to include one to three years of management experience.

1. Ability to exercise judgment and discretion in establishing and maintaining positive working relationships.

2. Ability to research information and analyze data to arrive at valid conclusions, recommendations, and plans of action.

3. Works under limited supervision.

4. Errors in judgment may jeopardize the health and safety of the residents.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

International Executive Housekeeping Association certification preferred.
