Description |
The International Center for Research on Women (ICRW) is an organization comprised of international development professionals researchers, advocates and program managers committed to the creation and sharing of the needed tools, approaches and techniques that will serve as catalysts for change for women worldwide. As a result of rapid growth, we currently seek a Senior Human Resources Generalist, who will be responsible for providing a full range of HR services to an employee base of over 100 employees, domestically and internationally. This position reports to the Vice President, Human Resources and the overall areas of responsibility will include recruitment and staffing, first-level employee relations, policy and procedure development and management, benefit program design and implementation, compensation administration, employee programs and staff development.

Requirements |
Our ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in human resources, business or related field. A professional certification in human resources (PHR, CCP, CBP, CEBS) is preferred. Seven (7) to ten (10) years' progressively responsible HR experience is required, to include at least five (5) years' experience in a generalist role. Demonstrated experience in recruitment, benefit program design and implementation, HR policy and procedure development, as well as ongoing management of HR programs is essential. Strong knowledge of Federal and DC employment law required. Experience delivering HR services in an international environment is preferred.
Strong verbal and written communications and presentation skills required. Demonstrated ability to be self-directed, with outstanding organizational skills, detail orientation and the ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously is essential. A high level of discretion and tact is required to handle sensitive and confidential data, and to develop trust and strong working relationships with the organization's management. Excellent interpersonal skills are required, with the ability to work well with individuals from a variety of ethnic, cultural and educational backgrounds, both internally and externally at all levels. Computer literacy required to include a proficiency in standard business applications (e.g. in the MS Office Suite), as well as the ability to utilize technology to automate processes, provide meaningful analyses and disseminate information.
